About ME

CHARLOTTE STANWORTH

MY STORY

I have painted for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories revolve around images of my working on a child sized easel next to my father, who was an art dealer and restorer.

My brother continues to run the family business “Stanworth Fine Arts” and I feel incredibly lucky that the arts have always been, and continue to be an integral part of my life.

Having gained both my Bachelor and Masters of Fine Arts degrees I settled in the Midlands where I have established both my home and studio. This central base has allowed me to draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape and natural flora, but also, and especially, it allows me to travel to the ocean.

I travel widely in search of scenes that excite me, attempting to capture the essence of what I see, and then exploring this further in the studio.

I have a number of private collectors of my work both in the UK and overseas. My art has also been exhibited in numerous Galleries and festivals over the years e.g. in London, the Cotswolds, Cornwall etc. ‘Studio 1 in Fulham London, ‘Wren Gallery’, and the late ‘Michael Hinds Gallery’ in Burford, ‘Stanworth Fine Arts’ in Leicestershire, ‘Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery’ Warwickshire, ‘Richard Golding’s Station Gallery’ and ‘White Dove Gallery’ Shenton in Warwickshire, and a large number of arts festivals. I was awarded ‘The Peoples Choice Award’ at ‘The Market Bosworth Arts Festival’ 2019.
